Miniature Proximity Sensor Switch for LEDs ~ reflectiveSwitch by Blebox

Miniature Proximity Sensor Switch for LEDs ~ reflectiveSwitch by Blebox

Description

The reflectiveSwitch is a miniature proximity sensor for controlling LED lighting.

It is designed so that inconsistencies with sensed objects do not matter. For example, using it to monitor a door that doesn't always close properly will not cause a problem – the light will turn off even if the door does not close completely.

The controller has three different operating modes that can be configured:

  1. Mono-stable off-when-activated (the default) – Switches off the LED strip when an object is detected. This mode is useful, for example, for a cabinet that turns on the light when the door opens.
  2. Mono-stable on-when-activated – Switches on the LED strip when an object is detected. E.g., mounted in a door frame, switching on the lighting only when the sliding door is fully open.
  3. Bi-stable – Usable, for example, as a proximity switch, allowing you to turn the light on and off using your hand.

The relfectiveSwitch uses an optoelectronic reflective sensor and a miniature processor for digital signal processing.
